Understanding eSIM How does a VoyageSIM eSIM work?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your device. After purchase, you receive a QR code by email. Install it in your cellular settings, then select VoyageSIM for mobile data at your destination.

Installation How do I install my eSIM on iPhone?

Connect the iPhone to Wi-Fi, open Settings, Cellular, Add eSIM, then scan the QR code received by email. Give the line a clear name, such as VoyageSIM.

Installation How do I install my eSIM on Android?

Connect the device to Wi-Fi, open the network or SIM settings, choose Add eSIM, then scan the QR code. Menu names may vary on Samsung, Google Pixel, Motorola and other devices.

Order When will I receive my QR code?

The QR code is automatically sent by email after payment is confirmed. Check your spam or junk folder if the message does not appear quickly.

Compatibility Is my phone compatible with eSIM?

Your phone must support eSIM technology and be carrier-unlocked. Many recent iPhones, Samsung Galaxy phones, Google Pixel devices and other models are compatible.

Activation When should I activate my eSIM?

We recommend installing your eSIM before your trip while connected to Wi-Fi. Activate it once you arrive at your destination.

Internet Can I use hotspot?

Yes. Most VoyageSIM plans support hotspot/tethering. You can share your connection with a laptop, tablet or another device.

Apps Do WhatsApp, FaceTime and Messenger work?

Yes. All Internet-based applications such as WhatsApp, FaceTime, Messenger, Telegram, Signal, Google Maps and Uber work normally with your VoyageSIM eSIM.

Phone Can I keep my phone number?

Yes. Your primary SIM can stay in your phone. We simply recommend disabling roaming on that line to avoid carrier charges.

Data How much data do I need?

For a one-week trip, 3–5 GB is usually enough for Google Maps, WhatsApp, emails and social media. If you stream videos or use hotspot frequently, choose a larger plan.

Top Up Can I top up my eSIM?

Yes. Many VoyageSIM destinations support top-ups. You can keep your existing eSIM and simply purchase additional data.

Travel Can I install my eSIM before travelling?

Yes. We actually recommend installing it before your trip while connected to Wi-Fi. Simply activate it when you arrive.

Network Is 5G available?

When 5G is available from the partner network and your device supports it, your eSIM will automatically connect to 5G.

Compatibility Are Samsung phones compatible?

Yes. Many Samsung Galaxy S, Fold and Flip models support eSIM. Just make sure your phone is unlocked.

Support What should I do if my eSIM doesn't work?

Check that VoyageSIM is selected for mobile data, enable Data Roaming, restart your phone and use automatic network selection. If the issue persists, our team will gladly help you.

Roaming Do I need to enable data roaming?

Yes. Data roaming generally needs to be enabled on the VoyageSIM line so it can connect to the local partner network. Disable roaming on your main line to help avoid carrier charges.

Validity When does the plan validity period begin?

This depends on the plan. In many cases, validity begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network. Always review the details shown on the product page.

QR code Can I scan the same QR code more than once?

Many eSIM QR codes can only be used once. Do not delete your eSIM after installation before contacting VoyageSIM support.

Multiple eSIMs Can I install multiple eSIMs on my phone?

Yes. Many phones can store multiple eSIM profiles. The number of lines that can be active at the same time depends on your device model.

Refund Can I receive a refund?

An eSIM is a digital product. Once the QR code has been delivered, installed or used, a refund is generally unavailable. Contact us promptly before installation if there is an error or issue.
