1. Prepare your VoyageSIM eSIM
- Confirm that you have received the VoyageSIM email containing your eSIM.
- Keep the QR code or activation link open on another screen or device.
💡 You can install the eSIM before departure: the plan only starts when you use data in the destination country.
2. Choose your installation method
- Option A: Automatic installation from a link in the email.
- Option B: manual installation with QR code , compatible with all eligible iPhones.
💡 Automatic installation is the fastest. Use the QR code if this option is not offered.
3. Option A – Automatic Installation
- Open the VoyageSIM email and tap the Install eSIM button or link.
- Read and accept the steps displayed on your iPhone to add the plan.
💡 Check that your iPhone is up to date (iOS 12.1 or later).
⚠ A stable Wi-Fi connection is essential to download the eSIM profile.
4. Option B – Manual installation with QR code
- Open Settings → Cellular Data (or Cellular Network) .
- Tap "Add an eSIM plan" or "Add a cellular plan" .

6. Deactivate your primary SIM card (recommended)
- In Settings → Cellular Data , tap your primary SIM card.
- Disable the "Enable this line" option.
⚠ This step greatly reduces the risk of roaming charges from your usual operator.
💡 Upon your return, you will simply need to reactivate this line to use your Canadian plan again.
7. Activate the VoyageSIM eSIM line
- In Settings → Cellular Data , choose the eSIM VoyageSIM line.
- Check that "Activate this line" is enabled.
- Set VoyageSIM as the default plan for cellular data .
ℹ️ The first connection may take a few seconds. Once active, the network will be displayed at the top of the screen.
8. Enable "Data roaming"
- Reopen the VoyageSIM line in Settings → Cellular Data .
- Activate the "Data roaming" option.
⚠ Without this option, your eSIM will not be able to connect to the local network, even if the installation is successful.
ℹ️ With VoyageSIM, roaming is already included in the price of your plan: no surprise charges.
9. Final checks
- Restart your iPhone once the setup is complete.
- Upon arrival, allow a few minutes for your eSIM to connect to the local network.

- Switch off “Turn On This Line” .

💡 When you're back home, simply turn this line back on to use your regular plan again.
7. Activate the VoyageSIM eSIM line
- In Settings → Mobile Data / Cellular , select the VoyageSIM eSIM.
- Ensure “Turn On This Line” is enabled.
- Set VoyageSIM as your default line for mobile data .
ℹ️ Initial connection can take a few seconds. Once active, you'll see the network indicator at the top of the screen.
8. Turn on Data Roaming
- Open the VoyageSIM line again in Settings → Mobile Data / Cellular .
- Enable “Data Roaming” .
⚠ Without data roaming turned on, your eSIM will not connect to the local network, even if installation is successful.
