1 What is a travel eSIM? ⌄
An eSIM is a virtual SIM card built directly into your phone. It allows you to activate a mobile data plan without inserting a physical SIM card. With VoyageSIM, you receive a QR code by email, install the eSIM on your device and start using mobile internet while travelling.
2 How do I install my VoyageSIM eSIM? ⌄
After your purchase, you receive an email containing your QR code and setup instructions. On your compatible iPhone or Android device, open your mobile network settings, choose the option to add an eSIM and scan the QR code. Installation usually takes less than 2 minutes.
3 Is my phone compatible with eSIM? ⌄
VoyageSIM eSIM plans work with many recent smartphones, including iPhone XS/XR and newer, several Samsung Galaxy models, Google Pixel devices and other eSIM-compatible phones. Your device must also be unlocked.
4 Can I keep my WhatsApp number? ⌄
Yes. Your WhatsApp number stays the same. Your VoyageSIM eSIM mainly provides mobile data while travelling, so you can continue using WhatsApp, FaceTime, Messenger, Google Maps and your usual apps with internet access.
5 Are calls and SMS included? ⌄
Most VoyageSIM plans are data-only travel eSIM plans. Traditional calls and SMS are generally not included unless specified on the product page. For calls and messaging, use WhatsApp, FaceTime, Messenger or other internet-based apps.
6 In which countries does my eSIM work? ⌄
Each VoyageSIM product page clearly lists the countries included in the plan: Canada, USA, Mexico, Europe, Caribbean, Global and many more destinations. Always check the coverage section before purchasing your eSIM.
7 When should I install and activate my eSIM? ⌄
Install your eSIM while connected to Wi-Fi before your trip. For most plans, it is recommended to activate mobile data only after arriving at your destination to avoid starting the validity period too early.
8 Do I need to enable data roaming? ⌄
Yes. In most cases, you must enable data roaming on the eSIM line for the connection to work properly in the destination country.
9 What should I do if my eSIM is not working? ⌄
Make sure the eSIM is installed correctly, mobile data is enabled on the correct line, data roaming is turned on and you are located in a supported country. Restart your phone. If the issue continues, contact VoyageSIM support with your order number and screenshots.
10 Can I transfer my eSIM to another phone? ⌄
No. A travel eSIM is usually linked to a single device after installation. Once the QR code has been scanned and activated, it cannot normally be reused on another phone.
