Choose the data and validity that fit your trip

  • Maps and messaging: start by comparing smaller data allowances if you mainly use hotel Wi-Fi.
  • Daily browsing and social media: compare larger allowances, especially if you upload photos or make internet calls.
  • Video or hotspot use: allow more data and check whether your selected plan supports tethering.

Open a destination to compare the available data amounts, validity periods and current CAD prices. Choose a validity period that covers your stay; check the plan instructions to see when it starts.

Know what is included before you buy

These are prepaid, data-only eSIMs: traditional cellular calls, SMS and a new phone number are not included. Use apps such as WhatsApp or FaceTime over mobile data. Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked.

Receive your QR code and instructions by email. Install over Wi-Fi before departure when possible, then follow your plan's activation instructions. You can generally keep your Canadian SIM installed on a compatible dual-SIM phone; calls, texts or roaming on that line may still incur charges from your carrier.
