Which eSIM should you choose for Thailand?

Choose based on trip length and expected usage. A few gigabytes may be enough for Google Maps, messaging, bookings and translation. Select more data for video, frequent internet calls or hotspot use when the plan permits it.

Thailand eSIM FAQ

Will the eSIM work as soon as I arrive?

After installation, select it for mobile data and follow the plan settings. The start of the validity period varies by product, so rely on the instructions you receive.

Should data roaming be enabled?

Some travel eSIMs require it on the eSIM line. Follow the plan instructions and keep roaming off on your primary line if you do not want it to consume data.

Can I keep WhatsApp and my regular number?

Yes. WhatsApp normally remains linked to your current number and uses the eSIM data connection. Calls and SMS on the primary line may still be charged by your carrier.

Does a Thailand eSIM include regular calls?

VoyageSIM plans are primarily for mobile data. Use an internet app such as WhatsApp, FaceTime or Messenger to communicate.

Is my phone compatible?

The device must support eSIM and be unlocked. Look for “Add eSIM” in the settings and confirm the exact model before purchase.
