Internships can last much longer than a short holiday. Match the plan to the actual country, number of days and your usage instead of picking the smallest price tag.

Why prepare a travel eSIM before your placement?
After landing, you might need to contact your supervisor, find your flat, open a map or send messages without relying on airport Wi-Fi. On an unlocked, eSIM-compatible phone, VoyageSIM can supply mobile data wherever the selected plan has coverage.
These plans are data-only, without a local phone number, traditional voice calls or SMS. If your employer requires local calling or a phone number for administrative tasks, consider a separate local line.
Many dual-SIM phones can keep a Canadian line installed, but roaming voice and SMS charges may still apply. Read our guide to keeping your number while travelling.

Do 90- or 180-day data plans fit an internship?
VoyageSIM offers 20 GB / 90 days and 50 GB / 180 days variants for some regions, including Europe and Asia (20 countries). Their availability does not mean your internship destination is automatically included.
These amounts represent total data over the entire validity period, not monthly renewals. Check when validity begins, installation rules, long-stay terms and whether the exact variant supports top-ups.
For example: a 110-day placement lasts longer than a 90-day plan, even if you have unused data. Choose suitable validity or arrange another connection.

Budgeting data over several months
Light useMaps, transport, email and family messaging.
Regular usePhotos, housing research, music and social apps.
Heavy useVideo calls, large downloads and hotspot sharing.
Automatic updates and video streaming can use a lot of data over three to six months. Download large files on trusted Wi-Fi and monitor your phone's cellular usage.
A local cellular plan may be better for intensive everyday use or if you need a phone number. Compare both options. Our data calculator helps estimate your allowance.
