Kotor Montenegro eSIM: mobile data in the old town and bay
Kotor welcomes both road-trippers and cruise passengers. Mobile internet can help with maps, transport to Perast, hotel details and staying in touch with other travellers while exploring the Bay of Kotor.

VoyageSIM offers a Montenegro eSIM, including 1 GB for 7 days at CAD $7 and 3 GB for 15 days at CAD $16. These are land-based travel data plans; maritime cellular networks aboard ships are not included.
Coverage in Kotor, Perast and along the bay
Maps and schedules are useful in Kotor's old town, near the cruise port and in surrounding villages. Signal still depends on partner networks, thick stone buildings, mountains and congestion.
Download maps before hiking to the fortress or visiting remote locations. Reception at the port does not guarantee service along every mountain road.
Is an eSIM worthwhile for one cruise stop?
Mobile data can be more flexible than relying solely on café Wi-Fi while exploring Kotor ashore. A small allowance may be enough for light maps and messaging during a port visit.
Out at sea, the ship may operate its own cellular network separate from terrestrial coverage. Check your Canadian line's settings to avoid unexpected maritime roaming charges.
Plan for Montenegro, not just mainland Europe
Your phone must be carrier-unlocked and eSIM-compatible. Setup instructions arrive by email; check when your selected plan's validity begins.
Do not assume Montenegro is included in every European regional travel eSIM. Verify the specific country list. VoyageSIM's Montenegro product provides mobile data only.
